The purpose of this tool is to optimize the placement of solar panels for a mini grid.
Usually, it is a good idea to cluster the solar panels close to the battery. However, in certain cases such as in areas of dense jungle growth, it may be desirable to place solar panels on poles instead.
- Place enough solar panels to satisfy the projected electricity consumption.
- Minimize the distance between each solar panel and the battery as measured along the distribution line.
- Minimize the number of solar panels.
